How to use a Brick seperator
Brick separators are a must have for every LEGO fanatic. You can buy then for £1.99/$2.49 at a LEGO store or online and they usually come in LEGO sets which contain many small pieces that are hard to remove one positioned. These are two picture of an old brick separator and the new one...
As you can see they have changed a lot. There is much more functionality with the new version the the old version. Here is a main function being demonstrated below...
But that's not all...
As you saw in the main demonstration this function uses these holes at the bottom of the front section of the brick separator are used to click onto the studs and gently pressed down at the back section releasing the two bricks from each other. This function is probably the most used function on the brick separator. It is useful for removing jumper plates from base plates and other bricks.
This function is used for removing Technic axles. To proceed this excellent function you need to put the axle remover on the other other side of where the axle is stuck and gently push the axle out through the other side.
The new brick separators have a new thinner tile remover which is used to remove tiles of a base plate. You put the put the tile remover underneath the tile and it should come of quite easily. You could also use this for bricks but I would use the front for removing bricks and jumper plates.
